that is despite president obama's repeated promise that if you like your plan you can keep it managing editor bob cusack joins us. nice so see you, sir. >> hey, greta. >> what's your if you get to keep your -- if you like your insurance policy you get to environmental protection agency it? >> remember in 2009, 2010, they were down in the votes. they needed to get the votes even though they controlled both the house and the senate. they need to push it through. so they made some promises and i think there are s. going to be more congressional investigations who knew what when because now there are reports that the administration knew some people were going to lose their healthcare coverage? >> so they knew at the time? >> that's a new report that just came out. >> why did they say that? either they said that because they truly believed it or because they were trying to hood wink the american people. one or the other. >> some of the plans they are saying are really low level plans. okay. so that means that people don't pay as much to get into them. so, now,. >> but a lot of people like those. >> ex
would in fact lose their preferred health insurance plans because of obama care. this comes as more people call for hhs secretary kathleen sebelius to step down over this, but i say it's way over time to hold president obama accountable. the buck stops there. he ought to show some back bone and not just blame his underlings. and there's talk about the fed using the inflation rate. we have alan greenspan to talk about that policy and talk about the current state of the economy. our other special guest will be former florida governor jeb bush. i'm going to ask him about the civil war in the republican party and how to solve it. all that and more on a special edition of "the kudlow report." we are live from washington, d.c. tonight and we begin right now. >>> good evening, everyone. i'm larry kudlow. this is "the kudlow report." we are live, 7:00 p.m. eastern, 4:00 p.m. pacific time. we are in washington, d.c. top stories, continuing failure that is obama care tops the news tonight. we begin with a breaking story from our colleagues at nbc news. four stories deeply involved in the craf
to get into the obama care exchanges because their plans don't meet up currently. let's bring in our panel, steve hays, kristen powers, syndicated columnist charles krauthammer. charles, what about this? >> this is remarkable. i think this is the first of the blows that will come after the scandal about the website. this is sort of the substance of it. it isn't just that it is a total contradiction of a promise that obama made over and over again. it goes especially the carney explanation as to why it's going to happen, it is the essence of what's wrong with obama care. it is that we know what's best. you have a plan, you like the plan, you want the plan. but we call it substandard because some expert in washington had written a regulation in which it doesn't meet or fit. and we're going to cancel it on you. i mean, it's almost a parody of the definition of a liberal, which is somebody who doesn't care what you do as long as it's mandatory. and it's the essence of obama care. it's the essence of the whole liberal ideology obama is imposing on the country. we know what's best. for exa

's exactly why i came to washington. >> so what is your plan to row place or enhance obama care? >> my plan -- my plan is let's get rid of this failure and let's start over with something that will work. let's delay this. why should the american people be penalized for a website that's failed where they're told that they should go there and buy something they can't afford and into the new year, into 2014 millions, it's projected now that 16 million will have their health care premiums and their health care coverage cancelled. so now we've just increased the number of americans without health care coverage. that's what i want to see. i want to see us delay that penalty and i want to see us put forth something that will work like the american health care reform act that i support from the rnc. >> do you think that massachusetts and we should be utilizing the example of what's taken place in massachusetts that was instituted under then governor mitt romney as a better example for how we can do this on a national level? because nearly 100% of adults and children in massachusetts have health car
